Type of Oolong Tea - part 2

Degree of fermentation



Dong Ding Oolong Tea 

Tea’s color: Honey Yellow
Degree of roasting: Medium
Degree of fermentation: About 20~30%
Characteristics:  Some emphasize the roasted aroma, while others emphasize the balance between roasted aroma and flowery fragrance. 

Honey Oolong Tea
Tea’s color: Amber
Degree of roasting: Medium
Degree of fermentation: About 30~40%
Characteristics: This flush features fresh tea leaves which are naturally fermented after bitten by small green leafhoppers and a delicate fruity scent. This memorable amber infusion is embellished with an alluringly rich aroma of Spanish limes and a hint of mint, leaving the crisp and sweet freshness on the palate. 

Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea
Tea’s color: Amber
Degree of roasting: High
Degree of fermentation: About 30~50%
Characteristics: This fascinating tea,  heavily fermented, infuses into an amber-colored cup with an aroma of ripe fruits, subtle tartness, and overtones of sweet osmanthus and frankincense.

Oriental Beauty (White Tip Oolong)
Tea’s color: Amber
Degree of roasting: High
Degree of fermentation: About 70~80%
Characteristics: Oriental Beauty, also known as White Tip Oolong, made from “Qing Xing Dapan”, and also a heavily fermented tea characteristic of its traditional processing of the tender tea buds bitten by small green leafhoppers. Rich honey and fruity aroma mix together. Moreover, it's the unique tea made in Taiwan.
